2003 Knit Projects | |||
'Flower Washcloths' 12-29 | Based on this knitty pattern I added a hood (as another rectangle) and did it all in the Bernat soft Boulce med. blue and angel fish.
'Elven Slippers' 12-29-03 | I found this pattern through an online group. Using 'pattons twister lime' which had been a gift I modified the pattern giving it a slightly more 'mary jane' look. Yes they are tacky, but they are extremely cozy!
'Devil Hats' 12-26-03 | I made too many hats this holiday season!! These hats though were fun. I used Bernat 'so soft' and trendsetter metal eyelash yarn, and a pom pom maker. Again, no pattern.
Poncho 12-08-03 | Based on this knitty pattern I used some soft bernat denim yarn to make this. The variation on the pattern is the length, and the fringe.
Red Hat 11-19-03 | Plain acrylic yarns mixed with some 'fun fur' because I wanted to make something a little punky and just a little weird. This had no pattern, just a standard k1p1 rib.
Baby Blanket | My first big pattern I got from a LYS newsletter that I made for a very fabulous and pregnant friend.
Booties | The first pattern I ever followed was for a gift for a friend's expected baby. Using such small needles (after size 8s for scarves) and fine detailing nearly broke me, but the end result was well worth it.
Hats! | Lots and lots of hats. I like Hats. They are fabulously easy. I make all my hats out of a ribbed pattern. I use primary colors for the most part, and cotton/acrylic blends that are as soft as humanly possible. Soft hats are a must! Details such as ear flaps, and ‘kitty ears’ are crocheted on.
